Seller Closing Costs
What you can expect
Just as a buyer must plan ahead for closing costs, you, as the seller, must also take into consideration that you will responsible for closing costs as well. We have a very competitive sliding commission scale to reduce some of the seller closing fees. Please contact me to learn more about this.
You should expect to incur the following costs
- Transfer taxes. There aren't always transfer taxes, but if there are, it is negotiable as to who were to pay these.
- Title insurance. (Dependant upon the location)
- Commission fees paid to the representing agent at closing.
- Stamps on the new deed. A new deed will need to be drawn up for the buyer by an attorney chosen by the seller.
- Prorated property taxes.
- Other prorated items; such as rent, deposits, association dues, water & sewer fees etc.
